Spread the love

Since we all don’t have the same skin type, not all products can be used on us all and not all face mist is considered equal in any way. So then, what is face mist? and which are the best products for you.

There are many types and brands out there and not all are going to work the same with everyone. While some can seem to feel like an energy boost shot, there has been others that feel as if you just sprayed some water on your face and left it to dry. Check with your dermatologist if you have no idea where to start with your skin type. Be advised that not all face mist is good for the skin and some can actually cause some negative effects. I am glad to share with you about what is face mist? and which are the best products for you!

Although this is not necessary, facial mist can bring beneficial effects to your skin care routine. It all depends on the ingredients in the mist. Benefits can include added hydration, improved absorption of moisturizer, a radiant glow and smoother application of makeup in a form of a spray, how easy!!

Also, alcohol dries up the skin! So please avoid that ingredient if you can!

She goes on to say “Face mists rich in antioxidants such as green tea are also helpful in reducing inflammation associated with acne”. Rose water and aloe-based mists are largely effective in reducing inflammation and soothing people with acne-prone skin.

Normal Or Combination SkinType- Dr. Papantoniou states this about Normal or combination skin type “Normal and combination skin can get away with using more varied ingredients, a balanced mist that contains hyaluronic acid, rose water, and essential oil, if desired, would work well,’ she also notes; “I especially like a mist that contains antioxidants which help skin combat the effects of free radicals and daily exposure to pollutants in city life,” the skin care experts adds and I absolutely agree with her, as I live in a big city and taking care of your skin can be a big part of your morning and evening routine as it is! 1. I have naturally oily skin and think that these could definitely help me to reduce this. Which one do you use?

    1. Hello Catherine!
That is a great question! Since I have a combination type of skin, there are days I am extra oily especially on the sections that tend to always be. So on a normally typical day, I love Pearessence White Tea and Whitch Hazel!
I hope this helps, and please come in through if you have more questions.

So glad I came across this post! I have been using a face mist in the summer months for as long as I can remember and just the other day I was telling a friend how amazing they are to use. Now I can easily just share your post with her and she can join us on the bandwagon of face misting!! Thank you for such a great post 🙂
By the way, do you think it is a good idea to use in winter months too? I always use it in the summer.

    1. Hello Sasha!!
Face mist is GREAT in winter months too! Imagine the damage that even the cold air/wind can do on the skin, like dry it out due to cold temperatures and low humidity! A bit of hydration would do wonders!
I would LOVE to welcome you and your friend to my page! Maybe we can turn her into a fan, just like US!!

  3. Hi Brendaliz,

I have thought about using a face mist, but could never find one that would work for my skin. Because I have sensitive skin and Celiac Disease, I have to be extra careful about what products I use. So, thank you for writing this article with a face mist that works well for sensitive skin. I appreciate it.
